Machinist I - Bench/Hydro 1st shift BUSINESS: Industrial LOCATION: Monroe, NC DIRECT REPORTING: Manufacturing Supervisor FUNCTIONAL REPORTING: Manufacturing Position Title - Machinist I Bench/Hydro *Position Summary* The entry level Bench/Hydro role is responsible for removing irregularities, surplus metal-ragged edges, burrs, etc., from parts. *Principal Activities* Prepare for and test subject parts to varying pressures. Remove burrs, fins, core wire, sand, and irregularities from unmachined surfaces of various parts by filing, grinding. Clean/wash parts Use hand and power grinders, scrapers, files, buffing equipment, vibratory tumbling machine, and media. High pressure washer, holding, and clamping devices, wrenches, pressure gages, water, air, sealing solutions, hoist-operated cranes, and other lifting equipment. Utilize multi-function electric or air-crane (where available) to lift, move, load, and unload parts to perform work center functions. Properly fill out all paperwork and keep good housekeeping. Job Requirements: CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS *Knowledge Skills & Abilities* Required to follow written and verbal instructions. Self-driven and able to self-manage. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted. Lift, pull, push. Continuously, walk/move from one machine to as many as three.
