Fleet Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician

Mon-Fri, Day Shift!

Our Clarke Vehicare team is currently looking for a Fleet Diesel Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service.

In this role, the Fleet Diesel Mechanic will perform heavy duty truck as well as automotive repairs and maintenance in accordance with factory and industry standards which will include running diagnostics on these vehicles.

What are the duties?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Repairs and Maintains Customer Vehicles in a Dedicated Shop
Use of Smartphone, Laptop, and Tablet Technology to Record all Repairs
Heavy Duty Truck Repair
Automotive diesel experience
Fabrication and Welding
Diagnostic Ability
Must be a team player committed to quality work
Must be able to Work Independently
Standard Tech Owned Tools Required, rest provided by shop

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance. The associate must be able to read and write reports.
Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Certificate or degree from college or technical school, with 2-4 years related diesel repair experience OR equivalent combination of training and experience.

CERTIFICATES and LICENSES

Valid Driver's License
CDL or ability to acquire CDL
ASE certifications are a plus
