As a Solution Architect, the employee provides direct support to Sales Executives to generate new business and ensures growth of existing accounts. The Solution Architect is responsible for overall system design, accomplishing this by defining system requirements by understanding prospect/client needs, workflow, required integrations with existing applications, systems, or platforms to develop solutions and create offers that meet customer needs. This role relies on technical expertise in Imaging IT workflow, software, hardware, and Cloud to translate pain points and requirements into solutions.

Job Duties & Resposnibilities:




  • As a Solution Architect, he/she is responsible for overall system design and conducting presales activities in alignment with Regional Sales Executives, Regional Sales Management & Regional Marketing in order to support defined regional business objectives.
  • For his/her accounts, this position will analyze project specific requirements (scope), develop and document a sound solution, and deliver the solution and quote that addresses prospect and/or client needs while keeping focus on compliancy with Global Process Management, Global Product Management, Global/Regional Marketing and Global/Regional Services guidance. He/she is accountable for the overall quality & accuracy of presales deliverables according to the Order Generation Process and business expectations.
  • Collaborate with Business Operations and Global Client Engagement to support the usage and the improvement of the IITS business tools. Provide feedback to the NA Portfolio and Quality Assurance Manager on issues/improvements, which could be made to tools and processes to enable more effective Bid Management within the Sales organizations.
  • Present prospect/client specific technical/clinical solutions and sales proposals to meet project requirements.
  • Work as an integral partner with the sales team to investigate the customer's environment and determine the business fit of AGFA HealthCare solutions. Create personalized presentations based on knowledge gained about the customer. Emphasize key differentiators of Agfa Healthcare solutions versus the ones of competition.
  • Establish strong rapport with new prospects/ existing accounts and establish him/her-self as a trusted advisor in the opinion of the key decision makers at prospect/client sites.
  • Request support of a regional Clinical Sales Consultant to demonstrate how Agfa solutions can improve the customer's clinical and technical business environment.
  • Accompany prospects on site visits to existing customer sites to help the prospect understand the benefits and use of Agfa solutions at that customer site.
  • Utilize and collect competitive intelligence and market insight within the healthcare imaging marketplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.



Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.




Experience:


  • Strong understanding of health care informatics and medical imaging.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure technology (Network topography, storage, Cloud, and clinical systems architecture).
  • Knowledge of all facets of Healthcare IT, including hospitals and IDN's, ambulatory, large group practices, university practice plans, health plans, and enterprise organizations.
  • Comprehension of the business drivers of healthcare and IT technology with the ability to articulate value messages.
  • Familiarity of medical informatics such as HL7 and ADT interfacing, DICOM, clinical/hospital information systems interfacing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical technology capital equipment sales, alternatively healthcare professional services sales or network infrastructure sales engineering experience required
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a role that requires strong presentation skills including the ability to present in an articulate, concise manner, with a strong emphasis on benefits, to small and large audience sizes.



Specific skills:


  • Strong IT presales skills, specifically the ability to tailor messaging from the C-suite to technical audiences.
  • Business Management skills (Presales activities planning in line with sales funnel and sales team activities).
  • Strong understanding of health informatics, specifically Imaging.
  • Demonstrated consultative selling experiences to guide prospects/clients toward adopting our solution.
  • IT networking, server, storage, high availability, disaster recovery, and Cloud experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Track record of strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills with ability to diffuse escalations through clear communication and action plans.
  • Ability to work in a cohesive work unit that regularly shares knowledge, expertise, and information both within the work group as well as among associates in other departments.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and easily to changes in technology and customer environments.
  • Ability to self-initiate tasks and define/meet agreed timelines to meet expectations of Sales Executives.
  • Ability to work under pressure with peers and sales/service staff.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot, escalate or obtain ownership of problems.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, and on occasion, last minute travel as business needs require.
