Starting Pay: $18.00 / Hour

Position Description:

Leads and directs the team responsible for cloth grading at the Retail Operations Center (ROC) for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Analyzes daily and weekly reporting to review Team Member performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures standards for quality services are met, conducts quality assurance checks, and develops strategies for improvement.
  • Maintains daily sorting goals per sorter of 2,000 pounds or more, ensuring that the product is sorted into proper categories.
  • Manages and adheres to assigned budget.
  • Builds and manages strong working relationships with customers and team members, maintaining standards of excellent customer service.
  • Sets up graded bale load with buyer, calling the buyer for pick up when ready.
  • Maintains the day-to-day operations of the cloth grading department including managing and meeting Team Member and customer needs.
  • Coordinates and effectively communicates with various GCNA divisions.
  • Makes decisions on matters relating to the day-to-day operation within his/her defined work area, including determining products that should be rerouted instead of sorted.
  • Keeps track of bales made and maintains the average weight per bale of 1,000 pounds, tracking weights and gaylords processed per category for each sorter into a spreadsheet.
  • Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used. Immediately takes action and/or reports any unsafe or potential hazards.
  • Builds a high-performing team.
  • Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members.

  • Plays critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years supervisory experience or equivalent work experience, required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate others
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
  • Regular and consistent in-person attendance
