cGMP Manufacturing Technician II Category: Manufacturing & Production Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-383072 We have a contract opportunity for a Sr Manufacturing Tech in Fremont CA. This position is initially approved for 6 months with possible extensions and the potential to be hired directly with the customer. The client is a world class manufacturer of life-saving Biopharmaceuticals. Pay Rate:$25.00 to $27.00/Hr. 2nd Shift: Wednesday to Saturday 3:00pm - 1:30am Job Description: Independently executes all routine unit operations in Purification including change-over procedures, scheduling within the shift team, equipment cleaning and set up. Perform in-process testing such as, cell counting, spectrophotometry and environmental monitoring. Monitors and controls weights, flows, volumes, temperatures, pressure, and pH. Identify and report issues related to manufacturing performance, process and safety to the team lead and safety manager to assist in investigations of safety, compliance with regulations, cGMPS and facilitate continuous process improvement. Assist junior staff on bioreactors, cell separation, chromatography, tangential flow theory and CIP/SIP operations. Training is conducted with an emphasis on safety and completion of operations in a timely manner. Collaborates within department to follow best practices to meet department goals. Skills: Experience working with established GMP procedures and bulk manufacturing is a plus. Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, methods, and procedures. Understanding of purification/cell culture processes. Possess effective troubleshooting skills with equipment and/or process. Education: Prefer, Associates Degree with 1 year of related technical experience a plus in a pharmaceutical or chemicals manufacturing environment. Minimum: High School Diploma or GED Estimated Min Rate: $15.00 Estimated Max Rate: $27.00 Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
