COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant will assist in leading accounting best practices for the Infinity Rehab finance team with responsibility for all accounting functions for skilled nursing facilities, therapy management, hospital, and outpatient business lines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Prepares and enters all general ledger entries for each business line, general ledger account analyses and reconciliations, including bank statements, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
  • Leads the month-end billing process.
  • Leads efforts in tracking and collecting aged Accounts Receivables with weekly notes/updates.
  • Prepares daily entries for the cash deposits and coordinates with billing on accounts receivable payments.
  • Reconciles assigned balanced sheet accounts and prepares adjusting entries at month end.
  • Maintains the fixed asset register, balances the CIP account, and creates the asset and depreciation entries.
  • Prepares monthly financial reports and accompanying schedules, worksheets, and narratives, including "Budget vs. Actual" variance reports. Assists in providing follow-up and documentation of significant variances.
  • Prepares for all requested documentation for annual internal and external audits.
  • Always maintains patient and organization confidentiality.
  • Assists Controller in performing analysis and creating reports for senior management including expense variance analysis, financial review, and budget preparation.
  • Exercises critical thinking in operational, financial, and transactional analysis to identify and help resolve any issues that may arise during daily operations and the month-end close process.
  • Mentor the AP Specialist
  • Annual Form 1099 prep and mailings.


OTHER FUNCTIONS:



  • Attend company meetings as requested.
  • Assists with other activities as directed by the Controller.


WORKING CONDITIONS

General professional office environment using standard office equipment; spends around 80% of time working at PC terminal with occasional telephone use. Will consider a hybrid/remote work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills
  • Experience using Sage Intacct, Espresso, Net Health or like EMR is a big plus
  • Ability to effectively work closely with staff, and peers
