SUPV - INTAKE/SOCIAL SVCS

Palo Verde Behavioral Health is searching for an experienced Supervisor, Intake to join our team!

The Intake Supervisor assures that smooth and orderly processes are followed for responding to Intake calls, Referrals, and Admissions into the hospital. This position reports to the Director of Admissions. Hours: 2pm-10pm M-F.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in management of the department.
• Provides supervision for Intake Staff.
• Handles crisis intervention.
• Responds to referrals appropriately.

The Intake Supervisor will also assist in daily administrative duties, assist the Admissions Director in assigned tasks, complete Intake Assessor duties as well as assist the Admissions Coordinator as needed within department. The Intake Supervisor assisting the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees as well as appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field or graduate of accredited School of Nursing or baccalaureate program required;

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse through the State of Arizona required or licensure by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Examiners as an LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT

Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field. Prior management and admissions experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITON:

Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter.

Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance
