Job Title: AWS Data Engineer (On site)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python Pyspark AWS Glue Studio AWS Glue ETL AWS Glue Catalog Amazon S3 and Apache Spark. Experience in the Cards & Payments domain is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue Studio AWS Glue ETL and AWS Glue Catalog.
  • Implement data processing solutions using Apache Spark and Python.
  • Manage and optimize data storage solutions on Amazon S3.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and storage.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and coding standards.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines and processes.
  • Monitor and improve the performance of data processing jobs.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the project by delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Support the companies mission by ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Possess strong experience in Python programming.
  • Demonstrate expertise in AWS Glue Studio AWS Glue ETL and AWS Glue Catalog.
  • Have extensive knowledge of Amazon S3 for data storage.
  • Show proficiency in Apache Spark for data processing.
  • Experience in the Cards & Payments domain is a plus.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Display strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Maintain a proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Show commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Possess a strong understanding of data quality and integrity principles.
  • Exhibit the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.

Certifications Required

* AWS Certified Solutions Architect

* AWS Certified Big Data Specialty Certified Spark Developer

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until March 14h, 2024

The annual salary for this position is between $108,000 to $139,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
