This opportunity is assigned to the Clinical Biomarkers Lab, which will work on biomarker assay development to support Clinical Trials in the Department of Pathology.
The Cancer Biomarkers Laboratoryat St Jude Children's Research Hospital is looking for anAssociate Scientist! The Associate Scientist will perform a variety of cutting edge techniques across a variety of projects. The Cancer Biomarkers Laboratory (CBL) is an Institutional Shared Resource that fulfills a unique mission, conducting correlative science studies for samples collected from patients enrolled on clinical trials. The CBL provides expert advice, technological and experimental expertise for assay development and execution to fulfil study objectives. These include, but are not limited to, molecular, genomic, metabolomic, immunological and flow cytometric assays. CBL supports the entire project lifecycle, from initial study design, protocol development, experimental method selection and validation to implementation, interpretation of results and data delivery to the study Prinicipal Investigator. The CBL also has a role in evaluating novel technologies for biomarker measurement, working to accelerate the advancement of cures, to understand toxicities resulting from cancer therapy, and to enhance quality of life for childhood cancer survivors. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
