Job Description

The Shipping Lead is responsible for supporting and coordinating the shipping department. This person will assist with loading outbound materials, checking for order accuracy and scanning in material as needed. The Lead will assist with quality checks, create bill of ladings and ensure safe transport of material throughout the building(s). This person will also help coordinate shipment schedules and personnel to ensure timely departures of all outgoing materials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience
• Previous supervisory or lead experience
• Previous experience with forklifts and overhead cranes
• Knowledge of steel industry and product knowledge a plus
• Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Systems
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Highly organized with ability to effectively delegate responsibilities
