What is The Role:

Elastic is seeking a visionary Senior Director of Global Partner Marketing to lead and scale our partner marketing strategy across regions and partner ecosystems. We're on a mission to scale rapidly with the help of strategic partnerships and are looking for a highly motivated individual to build and lead a comprehensive strategy from the ground up, driving long-term growth through our partner ecosystem.

Reporting to the VP of Regional & Partner Marketing, you will architect the entire partner marketing function, defining and driving co-marketing strategies with key partners including resellers, technology partners, system integrators, and cloud providers. Building foundational programs to drive joint go-to-market success. You will work cross-functionally with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure that partnerships contribute meaningfully to the company's growth objectives. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role that requires both creativity and analytical rigor.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Build and define the overall partner marketing strategy from the ground up, aligning with business goals and partner objectives.
    • Define marketing objectives for partner engagement and revenue generation.
    • Build, lead, and mentor the team.
    • Champion a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing culture.
  • Partner Ecosystem Engagement:
    • Cultivate relationships with global partners, including AWS, Azure, GCP, technology alliances, and VARs.
    • Identify and implement joint go-to-market opportunities with strategic partners.
  • Program Development:
    • Design scalable marketing programs for partner enablement, co-marketing, and demand generation.
    • Lead content development for co-branded assets, partner marketing kits, case studies, webinars, industry events and tools to support joint campaigns.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with sales, business development, product, and regional teams to set shared goals.
    • Work with product marketing to develop content and messaging tailored for partners.
  • Performance and Analytics:
    • Define and track important metrics to measure the efficiency of partner marketing programs.
    • Work closely with the sales team to ensure partner-sourced pipeline and revenue targets are met.
    • Report program performance and opportunities for optimization to senior leadership.

What You Bring:

  • 12+ years in partner marketing, channel marketing, or related fields (preferably in SaaS or tech).
  • Shown success in leading global partner marketing initiatives with measurable impact.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of partner ecosystems (e.g., cloud hyperscalers, technology alliances, VARs).
    • Expertise in global marketing campaigns, partner enablement, and co-marketing strategies.
    • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Technical and Industry Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with Elastic's offerings or similar technologies (search, observability, security).
    • Knowledge of marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo).
  • Leadership:
    • Outstanding leadership and team-building capabilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment
  • Preferred:
    • Experience working with Elastic's key partners (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Background in open-source or developer-driven technologies.
    • MBA or advanced degree in marketing, business, or related fields.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.

$200,400-$316,900 USD

$240,300-$380,200 USD
