The
Department of Applied Psychology at the
Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at
Rutgers University, New Brunswick seeks an outstanding candidate with training in applied behavior analysis (
ABA) for a non-tenure track, teaching professor position (open rank). Ranks to be considered include: Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, Teaching Professor. This faculty will coordinate GSAPP's graduate program(s) on the
Rutgers University, Camden campus and, therefore, will be based on Rutgers University's Camden Campus in Camden, NJ. The successful candidate should have at least one year of teaching experience and mentoring students and one year of professional practice experience in
ABA. Furthermore, candidates will show the capacity to contribute to the mission and goals of
GSAPP and the professional community as well as exhibit the ability to be flexible and work in an environment of expansion and change.
GSAPP fosters graduate training collaborations with the Department of Psychology at Rutgers University, Camden and has a collaborative
ABA master's program on the Rutgers University Camden Campus. This faculty will be a member of the
GSAPP faculty at Rutgers University, New Brunswick and will serve as the program coordinator. Additionally, this faculty will coordinate student practicums, which includes vetting and developing relationships with potential practicum sites, on boarding approved sites, and monitoring quality assurance to ensure exceptional student fieldwork experiences. The new faculty member will be also expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in
ABA and psychology as well as to contribute to student training. The
ABA programs are approved Verified Course Sequences by the Association for Behavior Analysis, International.
The faculty member will work effectively with a team of highly dedicated faculty members within the Department of Applied Psychology at Rutgers University, New Brunswick as well as the Department of Psychology at Rutgers University, Camden. Additionally, the faculty member will have collaboration opportunities with faculty across
GSAPP, Rutgers University, and the broader academic and professional community |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
Have a doctorate in
ABA, psychology, or a related area
At least one year of teaching at an undergraduate and/or graduate level
A minimum of one year of professional experience in
ABA practice and
ABA supervision
