Location:Milford, Nebraska

Pay:$24-$30 per hour + Overtime (50-55 hours/week)

Position Overview

We are seeking asafety-conscious Heavy Equipment Mechanicto join our team. In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and onboard computer systems to identify issues.
  • Complete work orders and documentation using fleet maintenance software.
  • Review and address issues reported in Driver/Operator Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Conduct safety inspections and respond to emergency breakdowns.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.

Working Conditions

  • Physically demanding role requiring lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 60 lbs.
  • Work may be performed indoors in a shop or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to noise, fumes, grease, and vibration is common.
  • May require working in tight or awkward positions.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy equipment or diesel mechanics preferred.
