Position Overview We are seeking asafety-conscious Heavy Equipment Mechanicto join our team. In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and onboard computer systems to identify issues.
- Complete work orders and documentation using fleet maintenance software.
- Review and address issues reported in Driver/Operator Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Conduct safety inspections and respond to emergency breakdowns.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Working Conditions
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 60 lbs.
- Work may be performed indoors in a shop or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to noise, fumes, grease, and vibration is common.
- May require working in tight or awkward positions.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy equipment or diesel mechanics preferred.
