In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful setup and maintenance of our provider network. Your efforts will directly contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our credentialing processes, supporting both our clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and gather all necessary information for the setup of new clients, groups, and providers by professionally acquiring information from the provider or office staff.
  • Compile and maintain current and accurate data for all providers in the credentialing database, including entering new client information into the system.
  • Support the completion of providers initial and re-credentialing applications, provider change forms, letters and following up with Third Party insurance carriers as needed.
  • Maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice factsheets, while tracking requirements validity.
  • Function as first point of contact for credentialing clients, frequent email, and phone communication.
  • Assist in the auditing of health plans directories as well as CAQH to ensure practice/provider demographics remain accurate and current.
  • Lead client conference calls and present material effectively.
  • Interfacing regularly with internal departments and credentialing clients regarding related inquiries and operational issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality with any disciplinary actions or malpractice suits.
  • Provide and create first level reporting from systems.
  • Assist the team with any additional administrative task as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience in credentialing, provider environment, or related field
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, in particular). Internet resources and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with PECOs, NCQA Standards, CMS regulations related to credentialing and conducting web-based research.
  • CPCS or CPMSM certification is a plus.
  • Complying with HIPPA policies and federal/state laws.
  • Excellent communication skills

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until March 14, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $60,00.00 - $70,000.00, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
