Overview General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider military weapon systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, has an opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join either our Saco, ME or Colchester, VT team in a hybrid work environment. The Sr Mechanical Engineer: Directs and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines and systems | Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process | Oversees installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water and steam systems | Evaluates mechanical products to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency | May evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions Major Position Responsibilities
Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
Basic Qualifications Required Education: Associates Degree Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Discipline/Major: Mechanical Engineering or othe engineering field required Years of Experience: 5 -7 years experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Travel Requirements: less than 25% travel likely Pay Range (USD) $74,550.00 - $138,450.00 Pay Transparency Statement The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process. Additional Compensation Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
