Job Summary

Under the direction and supervision of the Department's Director of Clinical Affairs, the Clinical Affairs Coordinator will provide a broad range of support for clinical affairs in a fast-paced environment.
In partnership with the Director of Clinical Affairs develop policies and processes to administer the Management and Staff Physician (MSP) recruitment process and management of MSP activities.
They will develop new processes and procedures to effectively manage MSP affairs in the department.

The incumbent must be able to exercise sound judgment, tact, discretion, and confidentiality.
They must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and able to take on the administrative challenges of supporting a large department of diverse people and programs.

The ability to interact with MSPs and staff (at all levels), sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, all with high professionalism, is crucial for success in this role. Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability, and attention to detail are also necessary. They will collaborate with other staff in the clinical affairs unit and act as a backup to PPA 3 staff when needed.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $80,200 - $120,300 (Annual Rate).

Department Description

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco, is one of the largest departments in the School of Medicine. The Department of Radiology provides service for UCSF's seven integrated facilities: Moffitt/Long Hospital, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, San Francisco Veteran's Administration Medical Center, Mt. Zion Hospital, China Basin, Saint Mary's Hospital, Saint Francis's Hospital, Bayfront Medical Building, Peninsula Outpatient Clinic, and the Benioff Children's Hospital at Mission Bay and Oakland. The department has 32 sections and research units, over 200 salaried faculty and non-faculty academics, and several WOS and joint faculty members.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Strong policy analysis and project management techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with demanding timeframes.
• Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.
• Analytical / problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
