The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.

The Enterprise Integration Solutions Office guides the solution of cross-agency, multi-mission capability orchestration problems by building and leveraging integration expertise throughout the corporation. We build agile project teams who collaborate across disciplines, customers, international partners, and industry in support of national outcomes.

The Director of the Commercial Integration Center will lead a lean organization chartered to orchestrate the analytic support needed to integrate commercial solutions into government missions. They will work closely in partnership with the Principal Director, Commercial Space Futures to integrate our corporate efforts in pursuit of commercial integration by serving as the primary integrator of multidisciplinary work spanning acquisition strategy, systems engineering, market analysis, and technical assessments across our government customer base.

Work Model:

This full-time position requires 100% onsite work in Chantilly, VA, El Segundo CA, or Colorado Springs, CO.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Driving the formation and execution of a center of excellence for the analytic support needed to integrate commercial solutions into government missions

  • Partnering with the Principal Director, Commercial Space Futures, to lead our corporate efforts in pursuit of commercial integration

  • Integrating multidisciplinary analytic efforts and teams to deliver the insights needed to accomplish commercial integration

  • Cultivating close working relationships with corporate and government representatives for programs pursuing integration of commercial solutions into government missions

  • Creating an organizational culture that promotes innovation and collaboration, developing and leveraging relationships with peer organizations, creating and leading teams of multi-discipline analysts formed from across peer organizations

  • Coordinating complex technical tasks among customers, managing resources to efficiently staff and execute projects, and ensuring quality and accuracy of work products

  • Recruiting, on-boarding, and developing a lean staff team through formal and informal performance management, evaluation, mentoring, and coaching across a national organization

  • Monitoring, directing, and improving the organization's processes, functions, compliance, and safety awareness

What You Need to be a Successful Director, Commercial Integration Center

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline

  • 10 years demonstrated experience leading studies and analysis teams, coordinating complex technical tasks among team members, and translating customer needs into viable instructions for analysts

  • Demonstrated strength in the assessment of commercial space solutions and their dependencies

  • Experience in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving technical and/or personnel issues.

  • Experience with staff development and mentoring

  • Ability to flex communication styles for productive interactions with staff, collaborators, and customers

  • Willing to travel to meet the needs of the organization and customers, approximately 10-25% of the time

  • This position requires a current and active TS/SCI clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Leadership experience in a customer-facing organization

  • Knowledge of government space mission architectures as well as relevant commercial market segments

  • Demonstrated strength in driving integration of commercial solutions into government missions

  • Experience collaborating in major MS&A and acquisition initiatives across other FFRDCs, government entities, UARCs, SETAs and/or industry

  • Financial and business acumen through program / business unit leadership

  • Master's or PhD degree in a related STEM discipline

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$168,200 - $252,400 Pay Basis: Annual
