Position title: Supervisor of Teacher Education Salary range:
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 32. The salary range for this position is $68,247 - $74,576. Salary is prorated according to the percentage of appointment. Application Window Open date: March 6, 2025 Next review date: Saturday, Apr 5, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Saturday, Apr 5, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description SUMMARY OF ORGANIZATION/UNIT SUMMARY OF POSITION The Supervisor of Teacher Education position will work with Multiple Subject and Education Specialist teacher candidates, work closely with TEP Faculty Advisor/s, school personnel, and a team of students in TEP; mentor student teachers as they engage in learning to teach in designated schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. and assist TEP Faculty Advisor(s) in developing relationships with partnership districts and schools. Primary responsibilities will include in-person classroom observations and debriefing of lesson implementation in special education and elementary settings. This position involves in-person site visits to schools in LAUSD. We also expect participation/attendance in our Seminar class to get to know the students. The Supervisor of Teacher Education may also be assigned additional duties according to the instructional needs in the department and in conformity with departmental lecturer workload policies. * A MA degree in Education is required. Preferred qualifications
