Cianbro is looking for a highly motivated Treasury & Accounting Professional with the expertise and drive to become a key contributor to our growing construction company. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, reporting skills, and an ability to integrate into our dynamic team seamlessly. The successful candidate will demonstrate detailed accounting knowledge, reporting abilities, attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude. This position will be based out of the Cianbro Corporate office in Pittsfield, Maine.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash operations and cash flow.
- Complete compliance reporting for banking partners.
- Process daily Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
- Prepare journal entries for bank account transactions.
- Communicate with banks and the management team to resolve discrepancies or clarify transactions.
- Support the corporate credit card program and related transactions.
- Track, maintain, and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
- Analyze financial data to create reports that support the management team's decision-making process.
- Assist in the preparation of the company's annual external audit.
- Create and maintain account analyses for financial footnotes.
- Participate in system integrations and work on improving accounting and finance workflows.
- Offer support and gain understanding of payroll and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or an Associate's degree with relevant experience, or equivalent extensive experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in transactional accounting roles, with a preference for construction accounting experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, and intermediate knowledge of Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
