Summary: The Vice Chair of Research (Psychological Services & Behavioral Health Service Line) is responsible for the elevation of the academic profile of the Psychological Services & Behavioral Health Service Line through visionary leadership and administrative oversight. In addition to their role as a Behavioral Health Research Scientist, the Vice Chair will lead the way in advancing our understanding of the complex child and adolescent emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and developmental conditions and contribute to the development of innovative diagnostic tools and treatment strategies that enhance outcomes across a system of care. The Vice Chair is supported by the Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute (RDCRI), the Lois and John Orr Family Behavioral Health Center, and Akron Children's Hospital (ACH). The position reports to the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. The effectiveness of the Vice Chair is demonstrated through high quality, evidence based, clinical and translational research and educational activities. In partnership with the RDCRI Director of Scientific Affairs & Clinical Trials, the Vice Chair will align the areas of scientific inquiry with the strategic initiatives, vision and mission of Akron Children's. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of scientists, clinicians, and industry partners, with the goal of improving patient outcomes and transforming the field of child and adolescent mental/behavioral, developmental, and substance use conditions. This position is equivalent in rank to an academic Assistant, Vice or Full Professor, depending on experience. Responsibilities:
