Key Responsibilities:

Implementation Support:

  • Support implementations for large global financial institutions by taking ownership of existing tasks and ensuring their successful execution in a highly regulated environment.
  • Execute tasks related to AWS EMR, SPARK, Python, and Shell Scripts with a focus on smooth execution and minimal error.
  • Migrate existing Scoop jobs to AWS EMR, ensuring smooth batch job transitions while optimizing performance for large-scale data processing.
  • Support the upgrade of AWS EMR versions, ensuring compatibility with current system architectures and functionality.
  • Migrate Java applications to the most recent Java version, ensuring that they are up-to-date and capable of running efficiently within the cloud environment.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize batch migration tasks, ensuring the performance of cloud-native applications and batch jobs in global banking systems.
  • Ensure all batch migration tasks align with industry best practices, optimizing the architecture, scalability, and reliability of applications running in the cloud.
  • Ensure adherence to global banking regulations while executing tasks, managing cloud infrastructure, and migrating applications.
  • Support the continuation of existing workflows, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of tasks that meet both internal and industry standards.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in supporting implementations for large financial institutions, particularly in the banking sector, focusing on executing tasks within a regulated environment.
  • Experience in batch migration tasks, specifically migrating Scoop jobs to AWS EMR, SPARK, Python, and Shell Scripts.
  • Hands-on experience in upgrading AWS EMR versions and migrating Java applications to current Java versions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and scaling in complex, large organizations, particularly in the financial sector.
  • Knowledge of compliance and security requirements specific to the banking industry, with hands-on experience in regulated environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, resolve infrastructure issues, and optimize workflows.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment, meeting deadlines while effectively communicating with stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset, with a focus on supporting a team that drives success in large-scale, complex banking systems.

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
