As the Chief Nurse Officer, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for nursing, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and fostering a collaborative environment that empowers our nursing staff. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping our organizational culture, enhancing clinical outcomes, and driving excellence in nursing practice.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement nursing strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals, ensuring quality patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Lead nursing teams in delivering exceptional patient care through evidence-based practices and innovative approaches.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to optimize resource allocation and improve patient care delivery systems.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate nursing quality and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Foster professional development and mentorship opportunities for nursing staff to enhance skills and promote career advancement.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and overall clinical outcomes.
  • Advocate for nursing within the executive leadership team and represent nursing interests in organizational decision-making.


Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:



  • Master's degree in nursing or related field; Doctorate in nursing or health administration preferred.
  • Current RN licensure and relevant certifications in nursing leadership.
  • 10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including experience in a senior management role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, manage complex projects, and drive change initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.


Preferred:



  • Experience in a multi-facility healthcare system or academic medical center.
  • Track record of successful implementation of nursing practice initiatives that enhance patient care.
  • Active participation in professional nursing organizations and community health initiatives.


Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Proficient in healthcare management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Experience with data analytics to drive clinical decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management in healthcare settings.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate nursing staff.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace culture.
  • Passion for nursing excellence and a dedication to improving patient outcomes.
