Job Description
Systems Design Engineering, III Responsibilities
- Complete definition and design of complex components, modules and sub systems, including detailed engineering analysis
- Design, develop and manage testing and integration of hardware, electrical and software systems
- Diagnose component and system-level issues across hardware and software domains, provide rapid solutions to support R&D timelines
- Support engineering development projects that have a cross-functional mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms and software designs to ensure cohesive system performance and rapid prototyping
- Develop and execute integration test plans to ensure component and system functionality aligns with design specifications and performance targets
- Design and integrate high vacuum components (roughing pumps, TMPs, valves), fluid handling systems (MFCs, transducers, valves, piping, flow/pressure control and measurement), exhaust systems, pneumatic and cooling systems
- Familiar with National Electric Code (NEC), ISO procedures, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
- Familiar with SEMI S2-0200, SEMI S8-0600, and CE certification.
- General working knowledge of 3D CAD design tools. CREO and or Solid Works implemented at TMEA
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience; or master's degree with 3 years of related experience; or associate's degree with 9 years of related experience; or 13 years of experience in lieu of degree. High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong sense of ownership and urgency
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to travel domestically < 20% for system deployments and other development related tasks
Physical Demands and Work Conditions The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in a combined work site environment: office and lab/clean room (appropriate PPE when required). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard. Salary Ranges$ - $
Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
