RN- Research Coordinator/Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant- 40 hours -day shift

General Summary:

Performs nursing functions independently and in collaboration with physician investigator to ensure that the objectives of an established research protocol are met and in compliance with IRB and sponsor guidelines. Identifies and recruits patients into study protocols as needed. Provides for educational and/or emotional support to patients enrolled in the study protocol. Is responsible for managing the study documentation and data collection for the study, and preparing and monitoring the budgets as needed. Supports physician investigators and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate project participation and compliance.



  • This position is with the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant research team.
  • 5 (8hr) shifts or 4 (10hr) shifts. Flexible start time between 7am-8:30am. Monday - Friday.
  • Cardiology experience preferred.
  • LVAD or MCS experience preferred.
  • Clinical trial experience preferred, but not required.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Michigan. BSN preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of three years of nursing experience.
  • One year of clinical research experience preferred.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office and patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
