Description and Requirements

We are looking for a Business Development Manager & Chief of Staff, reporting to the Worldwide VP & GM of ESMB Segment & AI. The successful candidate will help direct the strategy and planning to support the ESMB priority of profitable growth across Mainstream, Strategic, Emerging, and SW Alliances business areas. This individual must be skillful in performing financial analysis, building business cases, conducting research, interpreting data, managing complex projects, and making recommendations based on findings. The successful candidate will also be a skilled/experienced individual that can play a key role in operationalizing and handling day to day functions of the business, while collaborating with top level Executives within ISG. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in financial, business & operational acumen along with knowledge of server business models and IT modernization.

Responsibilities:

Business Development

    • Create multi-year financial models and forecasts
    • Monitor KPIs and measure ROI
    • Maintain internal and external business relationships and have ability to negotiate
    • Analyze market for trends, perform scenario planning, and capture deep industry insights
    • Analytics and Reporting
    • Market intelligence & competitive analysis

Operations

    • Action item tracking
    • Ops reviews with segment, geos, and SLT
    • Strategy, alignment, and POR with services, marketing, BTIT
    • Alignment with finance to drive continued improvement in reporting and timeliness
    • Support for implementation and execution of new ESMB operating model
    • Expense management
    • Support FY planning and communication

Communications

    • Internal (segment)
    • Field / geo / sales
    • Quarterly partner notes
    • Customers (PEP & ESP)
    • Ad-hoc SLT & LEC requests
    • Executive level polished presentations

Analytics & Reporting

    • Operations dashboards & reporting
    • Financial reports and key metrics (segment & geo controllers)
    • BTIT systems and tools


Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 10 years of business development, consulting, or financial background (preferably in tech M&A space)
    • Strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and ability to effectively communicate with teams, business leaders, and stakeholders
    • Promote collaborative, cooperative, and solution-oriented teamwork to drive deals to a close

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong financial acumen (preferably some prior experience in finance)
    • Data & metrics driven
    • Ability to project manage and operationalize complex projects from start to finish (preferably some prior experience in ops)
    • Must be detail-oriented, adaptable, have a 'can do' attitude, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
