Description

Atlantic Union's Enterprise Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local students to gain practical work experience, helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry post-graduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks and receive training and mentoring throughout the program.

Atlantic Union's Consumer Bank, branch banking, Intern Program is designed to give college students an introduction into internal auditing. It is our intent to give the Intern real assignments. Assignments that stretch the Intern, provide the Intern with valuable experience, and allow the Intern to contribute to the Consumer line of business.

The Intern will be responsible for a project that includes meticulous analysis of Sandy's Spring branch banking hours of operations as well as analyzing current staffing model in comparison to Atlantic Union Bank's model. The Intern will analyze and give recommendations.

The intern will get the opportunity to:



  • Have one on one discussion with Consumer BLI to understand the current AUB-Branch Banking model for branch hours and staffing.
  • Have one on one conversation with Consumer Bank Operation on daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual expectations that will impact staffing model.
  • Have one on one conversation with the Sales and Service team and understand the impact of expectation on the staffing model.
  • Visit branches and observe.
  • Research branch hours within 3 miles of each branch.


Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Goly Hervey and has resident designation (hybrid opportunity)

Position Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Position Requirements



  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Currently working for a degree in project management, business analysis, & quality assurance.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required, and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree.
  • Must be available to work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday
  • Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments, professional and academic goals, and expectations of this internship position.
  • Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • Must be able to function well with indirect supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
