*TEKsystems is seeking an IT Asset Management Administrator to support our client in Missoula, MT* ***This position requires residing in the Missoula, MT area. This is an on-site role 5 days per week. Potential relocation assistance may be available.* This role is a *W2 contract to hire.* Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship. *No C2C sponsorship is available.*
*Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years as a systems administrator or desktop engineering that has performed IT asset management and has interfaced with ServiceNow.* *JOB DESCRIPTION* We are seeking an *IT Asset Management Administrator* with expertise in the *ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module* to manage IT hardware assets efficiently and ensure alignment with business, financial, and operational objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, tracking, and automating hardware asset lifecycle processes while maintaining data integrity and compliance with industry standards. *QUALIFICATIONS* *Qualifications & Skills:* *Required:* * *3-5 years* of experience in *Hardware Asset Management.* * *Systems Administration experience.* * *Expertise in **hardware asset tracking, procurement workflows, and lifecycle automation*. * Strong knowledge of *ITIL best practices* for asset management. * Proficiency in *SQL queries and data extraction* for hardware asset analysis. * Understanding of *networking and hardware infrastructure* for asset tracking. *Preferred:* * Experience with *ServiceNow Performance Analytics, reports, and dashboards*. * Hands-on experience with *ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB integration *or equivalent experience. * *ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - ITAM* or relevant certifications. * Experience with *RFID/barcode asset tagging* and tracking technologies. * Familiarity with *financial asset tracking, audits, and compliance standards* (ISO 19770, NIST, etc.). * Knowledge of *software asset management (SAM)* in addition to hardware asset management. *RESPONSIBILITIES* *Key Responsibilities:* *Hardware Asset Discovery & Tracking* * Configure *ServiceNow Discovery* for automatic identification and tracking of IT hardware assets (*servers, laptops, mobile devices, etc.*) and integrate with the *CMDB for real-time visibility*. * Implement and manage *asset tagging systems* (RFID, barcode) to track assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate status updates (e.g., In Use, In Storage, Re-tired). *Asset Configuration & Model Management* * Establish and maintain *asset models and categories* in ServiceNow, tracking key hardware attributes such as *make, model, serial number, and location*. * Configure workflows for *procurement, inventory management, maintenance, and decommissioning*, ensuring alignment with organizational processes. *Procurement and Asset Lifecycle Automation* * Configure *automated workflows* for hardware procurement, tracking, warranty management, and asset retirement to streamline lifecycle processes. * Create and manage *approval processes, asset transfers, and end-of-life management* based on internal policies and industry best practices. *ITIL Best Practices & Hardware Asset Management* * Apply *ITIL principles* to hardware asset management, ensuring proper tracking, lifecycle management, and CMDB integration. * Maintain asset relationships and compliance with asset lifecycle processes, including *purchase, maintenance, depreciation, and disposal*. *ServiceNow Reporting & Analytics* * Utilize *ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Reports, and Dashboards* to monitor key hardware asset metrics such as *utilization, depreciation, warranty expirations, and inventory status*. * Design and generate *custom reports and dashboards* to provide real-time insights and improve decision-making. *SQL & Data Querying* * Write *SQL queries* to extract and analyze hardware asset data for reporting, financial audits, and lifecycle management. * Develop detailed, customized hardware asset reports in *ServiceNow*, tracking *financials, conditions, and lifecycle stages*. *Networking & Hardware Infrastructure Knowledge* * Understand *networking basics and hardware components* (e.g., servers, desktops, mobile devices) to ensure proper integration and tracking within ServiceNow. * Manage *hybrid hardware environments* (physical assets, virtualized systems, cloud resources) and their interaction within the asset management process. *BENEFITS* * Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
