DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Food Service Worker 1 works with dietary management to produce and serve patient meals. You will follow food safety guidelines, read and interpret tray tickets, and comply with dietary instructions. You will assist with preparing and cooking ingredients, portioning food, and delivering trays. This role uses culinary skills to provide our patients with tasty meals and top-notch customer service to brighten their day. In addition, you will be trained to maintain our high sanitation standards, clean equipment, and operate dish washing machines and floor scrubbers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will have rotating days off, weekends, and holidays as assigned. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime as needed
  • Free parking
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
