Under general supervision of a registered nurse in the assigned department, the Senior Vocational Nurse performs on a regular basis the full range of patient care activities in support of patient care. This includes, but not limited to, prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, assisting with training and validation of competencies of LVN and other patient care support as required, assigned to more complex tasks, and providing patient education and staff training. Position requires initiative, ability to prioritize critical demands, ability to work in a team environment and ability to exercise independent judgment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $71,410 - $88,782 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $34.20 - $42.52 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
