Position Summary:



Under the direction of the Director of Curriculum and Accreditation, this position is responsible for executing the support work and performing the professional functions necessary for the successful management of the University's Curriculum Administration, including: accurate entry and maintenance in Banner of all courses in the University's Course Catalog Inventory, compilation and publishing of courses contained in the University's online Catalog, overseeing the day-to-day managing and processing of course related issues and registration restrictions issues. Serves as an assistant in administrative matters; does related work as required.

This position is flexible, with some remote work available.



Position Responsibilities:




  • Works with the YU faculty and staff to maintain active courses in the YU Course Catalog Inventory in Banner.
  • Updates the University's catalog web pages as necessary.
  • Coordinates with the Registrar's Office so that coding is correct to assure ease of student registration and troubleshoots when issues arise.
  • Assists system administrator with current Watermark Curriculum Strategies implementation process, including data standardization, catalog design, testing coordination, and course maintenance.
  • Participates as a member of the Watermark Curriculum Management and Concourse Implementation Teams, including gathering data, building forms, establishing policies, testing, training faculty, and implementing the system.
  • Assists Director of Curriculum with maintaining Curriculum Strategies by processing approved courses, course changes, and general course maintenance.
  • Assists the Director of Curriculum during the New York State Education Department registration process for new programs and changes to registered programs by processing new courses and course changes in Banner.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the University's academic policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with the University Registrar to develop transfer policies and processes.
  • Undertakes and manages special projects as assigned by the Director of Curriculum.



Experience & Educational Background:




  • Graduation from an accredited college with a master's degree.
  • Ten or more years of experience in a Curriculum Administration Office or Registrar's Office.
  • Experience with web-based database interface management.
  • Experience with courseware applications.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner Systems is a must.
  • Experience with Watermark's Curriculum Management Software, Curriculum Strategies, or a comparable curriculum software.



Skills & Competencies:




  • Knowledge of MS Office suite products.
  • Experience with Outlook and MS Teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and strong teamwork skills.



Salary Range:



$85,000-$92,000
