Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our internal team, which collaborates with managed service providers to oversee and enhance Dorman's IT infrastructure. This role involves the administration, support, and engineering of our network systems, including SD-WAN, LAN, device lifecycle management, patch management, DHCP, DNS, and other network components.The ideal candidate will have experience in network administration, a strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Capacity, and Change Management), and a robust technical skillset in networking, cloud technologies, and hybrid cloud environments. The successful candidate will focus on maintaining highly reliable networks, enhancing monitoring and event management capabilities, and partnering with managed services providers to improve visibility and support within our environment.If you have experience with Meraki and are looking to grow your career in a fast-paced innovative company, apply today!

Thisisahybridrolewiththeexpectationtobeonsite in our corporateheadquarters in the Philadelphiasuburbs(Colmar,PA) at least 1x/week, but additionally as needed.

Primary Duties

  • Engineering support for network expansion (LAN and WAN) and hybrid cloud connectivity
  • Support infrastructure projects and coordinate with internal customers and change management
  • Troubleshoot, manage, maintain network equipment and connectivity
  • Ensure environments are secure and compliant with secure policies and best practices
  • Perform disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity
  • Coordinate with managed service providers to support and maintain the environment
  • Be part of an on-call rotation for after-hour and weekend support.
  • Work independently in a remote-based organization
  • Escalation point for lower tiered support
  • Collaborate with security team on compliance and vulnerability efforts
  • Create documentation such as diagrams and SOPs
  • Required Travel: 25%
  • Other duties as assigned


Key Accountabilities:



  • System uptime and security compliance
  • Develop system monitoring and event management procedures
  • Project deliverables to expand and enhance IT systems
  • ITIL incident/problem/request/change management

Qualifications

Core Knowledge



  • General network and security concepts
  • Knowledge of Cisco and Meraki networking - Meraki a MUST!
  • Network services in a Windows environment (DHCP, DNS, etc)


Soft Skills



  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external service providers


DesirableCertifications



  • CCENT/CCNA
  • CompTIA Network + / Security +
  • Azure/AWS Foundational level
  • ITIL

Education / Experience

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in network administration
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Capacity, and Change Management)
  • Robust technical skillset in networking, cloud technologies, and hybrid cloud environments.
