Sentry is seeking top talent to join our Corporate Aviation team! Our Maintenance Crew Chief is responsible for aircraft airworthiness by performing and directing aircraft maintenance, maintaining the manufacturer inspection program, researching, implementing or directing aircraft discrepancy resolution, and maintaining overall responsibility for aircraft compliance with regulatory standards set by the FAA, ICAO, IS-BAO & Sentry.

This position is non commutable. Candidates will reside or relocate to within an hour of KCWA.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot aircraft malfunctions and diagnostic information through onboard aircraft computers, manufacturer resources and personal systems knowledge to determine actions required to resolve issues according to the FAA, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and company policies.

  • Perform routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance and repairs including but not limited to, avionics/electrical systems, powerplant/engines, sheet-metal/structures to include flight controls, hydraulics, interior/upholstery/cabin management systems, and airframe components ensuring the aircraft remains in a safe state for flight in accordance with FAA regulations and OEM specifications.

  • Oversee maintenance being performed at outside MRO's ensuring quality outcomes in compliance with work scope, contractual obligations and cost controls.

  • Maintain manufacturer inspection program for assigned aircraft ensuring all aircraft parts are inspected, overhauled or replaced within prescribed service life intervals. Completes appropriate documentation for all part changes or inspections in accordance with service times in aircraft logbooks to remain compliant with regulatory requirements and Sentry's FAA Letters of Authorization.

  • Maintain awareness of all OEM service bulletins, system software revision levels, and service changes for assigned aircraft and servicing and/or outsourcing all necessary repairs in a timely manner to ensure the aircraft remains in safe and compliant operational condition to maximize aircraft dispatchability. Properly documents all maintenance and part changes in the aircraft logbook and fulfills computerized maintenance program recordkeeping requirements to remain compliance with regulatory requirements, the FAA Letters of Authorization, and to maintain value of the aircraft.

  • General operational activities include conduct pre- and post-flight inspections and line maintenance, prepare annual maintenance budget, schedule maintenance downtime, assist in maintaining the facilities, including snow removal and keeping the buildings neat, provide technical support for aircraft departures and arrivals including towing, fueling, and deicing aircraft.

What it Takes

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 5 years of related experience.

  • Current FAA Aircraft & Power Plant License

  • FAA Inspections Authorization preferred

  • 5 or more years of turbine aircraft maintenance experience preferred

  • Previous experience as a corporate aircraft maintenance technician preferred

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Crew Chief or similar leadership experience is ideal

  • Valid U.S. Passport

  • Ability to pass a TSA background check

  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with a valid driver's license

  • Ability to read parts manuals and understand parts room procedures

  • Knowledge of aircraft weight and balance, instruments and autopilots, and Federal Air Regulations
