Research Associate II

The Research Associate II works directly with principal investigator, sponsors, CRO?s, study team and Institutional Review Board (IRB)to support projects initiated locally, grant sponsored, and industry sponsored. Working under minimal supervision the position supports proper collection and documentation that ensure regulatory compliance. In addition, this position works with teams to plan, prepare, implement, and conduct research projects to ensure robust and valid data is gathered during studies.


Oversees the coordination and management of research activities, serving as the primary liaison between the IRB, research staff, regulatory bodies, and government agencies to ensure effective communication and compliance.
Supervises the review and approval process of clinical research studies, ensuring timely project initiation while maintaining adherence to regulatory standards.
Directs the maintenance of protocol books, regulatory binders, and research databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all required documentation, and oversees the preparation of reports and tracking of research approvals, enhancing efficient data management and regulatory compliance
Assembles data and performs quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of research findings, contributing to the validity and credibility of research outcomes and enabling evidence-based decision-making.
Promotes regulatory compliance and adherence to Good Clinical Practices for clinical research, including compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and ethical standards, safeguarding patient privacy, and ensuring the ethical conduct of research.
Provides operational and clerical support including editing reports, managing expenses, patient stipends and assisting with grant applications.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor?s degree (with 5 yrs experience) OR Associate?s degree (with 7 years experience)

EXPERIENCE:
