Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in the Medical-Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive healthcare services in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting. Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to nursing staff.
  • Aid nurses in the set-up of medical equipment and patient rooms. Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting care provided and communication with the healthcare team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and understanding of patient needs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and hospital guidelines to ensure the safety of patients and staff. Understand and follow infection control procedures.
  • Ensure the comfort and well-being of patients by addressing their needs promptly and empathetically.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.

2. Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.

3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

4. Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office preferred.
