Your Opportunity

As a Marketing Team member, you would assist in leveraging data metrics to develop methods to strategically maximize the profitability of a specific brand category in our business. In representing Smithfield, Eckrich, Nathan's Famous, or any of our brands, you will collaborate cross-functionally across the company from our sales team to our business management operations to deliver the best product to our customers and consumers.

The Marketing Specialist assists the marketing department with marketing materials and plans in order to build sound business recommendations and programs. Collects information or specifications for use in data sheets, promotional publications, presentations, or brochures and prepares draft versions. Focused on identifying mutually beneficial opportunities that support both brand growth and category growth.This role must work effectively with internal partners, external vendors and customers to deliver best in class programs to support the overall business strategy.

Core Responsibilities
  • Assists the marketing department with the creation of marketing materials and plans.
  • Collects data measuring the viability of new markets and assists in the creation of market development plans.
  • Assists in the development of an integrated brand image and message throughout all advertising, packaging and promotional efforts.
  • Supports the execution of category strategy via event, digital and trade marketing tactics.
  • Coordinates marketing activities for one or more markets, brands, or product/category lines.
  • Gathers data on existing or potential customers, competitors, or market segments for use in the development of targeted marketing strategies.
  • Measures and analyzes results to determine ROI.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Agencies and Business Management to develop data-driven solutions.
  • Continuously improve our capabilities and processes to drive superior results.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Marketing, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • 1+ years of experience working with syndicated data (technomac, dataessential, etc.), preferred
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple resources to build actionable recommendations.
  • Musthaveanalytical skills using PC based applications (Windows, Excel, Powerpoint) with emphasis on Excel Pivot Tables to database queries required to manipulate & synthesize data from multiple resources to build actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with enthusiasm and impact both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work effectively and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in a cross-functional environment with both internal and external team members.
  • Strong ability to clearly communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing in a fashion appropriate to various levels of the organization.
  • Self Starter and driven with an attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects is critical.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
