POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The incumbent is a highly skilled shop maintenance technician supervisor overseeing the maintenance technician to ensure efficient maintenance operations while upholding safety standards and participating in hands-on repairs as needed. KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises and directs the activities of the maintenance technician.
- Assigns tasks, monitors progress, and ensures work orders are completed efficiently.
- Provides guidance, training, and performance feedback to maintenance technicians.
- Develops and implements maintenance plans and schedules.
- Inspects Facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and plan repairs.
- Evaluates worksites to determine necessary maintenance work and escalate issues.
- Schedules contractors for safety inspections and sprinkler systems.
- Orders tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensures that all equipment and facilities are in good working condition..

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position operates primarily in the shop, working on heavy equipment and machinery. Jobsite work is likely to entail varying exposure to potentially harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, dangerous machinery, and/or other conditions typically associated with a live construction site.
- Depending on the work location, the incumbent may be exposed to extreme temperatures, inclement weather, noise, poor ventilation/lighting, and other hazards or conditions typically associated with a construction job site.

TRAVEL:
- This position may be required to travel between jobs on a periodic basis as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 + years of experience as a maintenance technician supervisor.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Capacity to successfully execute job duties under limited supervision.
- Knowledge of general hand and power tools.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background in mechanical repairs.
- Completed OSHA 30-Hour Training.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Read Blueprints
