Maintenance Team Lead

As a Team Lead for Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to ensure efficient operations within our manufacturing or environment. You will conduct and lead tasks conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and resolving equipment failures in a timely manner. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to lead, develop and grow a team to meet operational needs.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Engaged in hiring, training, coaching and development of employees to maximize performance, promote career growth and support a high-performing team.
  • Utilizes reporting tools and assists users in learning and using reporting tools. Performs ad hoc reporting as required.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) programs to ensure the continuous operation of production equipment and systems.
  • Schedule, prioritize, and coordinate all maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Oversee repairs and upgrades to machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts usage, and downtime.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels for spare parts, tools, and supplies, and recommend procurement when necessary.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the condition of equipment and facilities.
  • Manage the maintenance budget and identify cost-effective solutions to maintain equipment and improve operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety within the maintenance team.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Maintenance Management Software)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and other industrial conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
