Position Summary:

We are actively looking for a Mechanical Engineer Summer Intern who can bring innovation and creative thinking to the team. As an Intern, you will support the engineering team throughout the development process. You will get an opportunity to work on novel medical devices including state-of-the-art minimally invasive catheter-based devices, delivery systems for implants, implants, surgical tools, neuromodulation, and more.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Typical responsibilities may include brainstorming, concept development, CAD modeling, fixture/equipment development, hands-on prototype building, bench testing, protocol and report writing.
  • Develop presentations and present design concepts to the team.
  • Work with different teams and coworkers to accomplish tasks.



Must Have:



  • In process 4-year degree in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering.
  • Work on-site in our new Santa Clara facility.
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above.
  • Interest in how complex medical devices work.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools.
  • Self-starter who can engage in self-directed learning and remaining productive with minimal direction.
  • Experience with SolidWorks including creating models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.


Pay range: 24 to 27/hr depending on qualifications
