Summary Join our dynamic team as the Sales Compensation, Territory Specialist, where you'll oversee the incentive compensation for our global sales force. In this role, you'll partner with top sales leaders and collaborate closely with Commercial Operations to design, manage, and fine-tune annual sales plans-from setting quotas to calculating compensation. Your expertise will ensure our sales territories are strategically defined to maximize effectiveness. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate & Create: Work alongside Sales Leadership, Finance, and HR to craft annual sales plans. This includes preparing detailed documentation and tailored quota agreements by gathering historical and current data, discussing plan components and potential changes, calculating rate/target variables and bonuses, and securing necessary approvals.
- Communicate Clearly: Once approved, develop personalized compensation documents to inform employees. Track acknowledgements by set deadlines and maintain organized repositories of all executed documents, while building lasting relationships with business partners across the organization.
- Process with Precision: Accurately and timely process commissions for all sales groups on a monthly and quarterly basis using Excel and our internal reporting tools.
- Manage Incentives: Oversee SPIFF achievements and ensure payouts are handled correctly.
- Problem-Solve: Serve as a key contact by communicating with sales employees, management, payroll, finance, commercial operations, and IT to resolve issues and ensure data accuracy.
- Drive Payments: Collaborate with Finance and Payroll to facilitate timely compensation payments, including delivering detailed payout statements.
- Report Generation: Consistently produce insightful reports for our global commercial teams.
- Optimize Territories: Manage and prioritize sales territories to maximize opportunities and enhance customer engagement.
- Collaborate on Leads: Partner with IT and other teams to efficiently manage incoming leads based on established territory lines.
- Adapt & Contribute: Take on additional duties as needed and participate in process improvement projects to continually enhance our operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with a business or financial background.
- 3-5 years of experience in designing and processing sales commissions.
- 3-5 years of analytical experience, with advanced proficiency in Excel for creating tables, charts, formulas, and formatting.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and ERP systems.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- A self-starter with a strong record of continual learning and professional growth.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, presentation, facilitation, research, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This hybrid role is based at Cytek's Fremont, CA Corporate Headquarters, with occasional travel required.
