Internship Summary:

Reports To: Content Creator Manager

Dive into the exciting world of influencer marketing! Join our advertising team, working closely with our Content Creator Manager, to research and pitch content creators for upcoming campaigns. As our Content Creator Intern, you will support DDC's domestic influencer marketing strategy to position Washington, DC as a premier destination for leisure travel. You will gain hands-on experience by building detailed influencer itineraries and project managing the coordination between Destination DC and our valued member stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Itinerary Planning: Coordinating itineraries to support influencer visits.
  • Project Management: Building resources to enhance our influencer work.
  • Campaign Research: Researching and sourcing creators for campaigns.
  • Team Collaboration: Attending company-wide and team meetings to stay informed and contribute to discussions.


This internship provides you the opportunity to support our influencer marketing efforts through database management, content development, and contribute to the overall success of our social media initiatives. Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):



  • Research and pitch influencers for upcoming advertising campaigns
  • Build influencer itineraries based on advertising campaigns
  • Project manage itinerary coordination and booking between DDC and member stakeholders
  • Update and develop materials to support our influencer marketing efforts
  • Create and update influencer databases using Excel
  • Support collecting and reviewing metrics with relevant software
  • Assist with reporting relevant campaign data to internal and external stakeholders
  • Attend weekly company-wide and team meetings, and bi-weekly team meetings
  • Administrative tasks including content creator guidelines preparation and influencer gift deliveries
  • Occasional social media team support


What You Bring: Experience, Competencies, Education:



  • Currently enrolled in college; completed at least sophomore, in good academic standing.
  • Social Media, Advertising, Hospitality, or relevant coursework majors strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated interest in the travel and tourism economy, enthusiasm for Washington, DC
  • Eagerness to learn from a team of dynamic, engaged professionals working to promote Washington, DC and its vital hospitality and travel and tourism economy


Internship Specifics:

Duration



  • Summer ( start week of June 11 - ending week of August 11).
  • You must be available for work minimum 30 hours per week.
  • Hours worked must be within the parameters of Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm EST to coincide with the operational hours of the office.


Work Environment:

This Intern will follow Destination DC's policies for staff and may work hybrid, coming into the office at a minimum of three days a week and as determined by supervisor. Intern may work from the office on other days, too. Intern must have reliable internet to work remotely.
