The salary range for this role, based in Texas is $267,680.00 to $334,600.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Job Summary:

At Pernod Ricard USA, we've transformed our organization to focus on conviviality, placing the consumer at the heart of our business model. The Managing Director will lead the creation and execution of our strategy for under-prioritized spirits brands within the 'Targeted Elevate' and 'Execute' segments. In addition, this role oversees the PRUSA RTD business and team, driving growth, enhancing distributor relationships, and expanding market opportunities. Additionally, the Managing Director will shape a high-impact team, fostering talent development within PRUSA.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role manages the national RTD and alternative spirits portfolios, known as The Gem Portfolio, currently generating $120M+ in NNS with a goal of reaching $300M by FY27.

The role is highly complex, requiring collaboration across multiple distributors and product categories while effectively navigating the PRUSA organization and broader ecosystem. Additionally, the Managing Director will play a key role in marketing and finance, with aligned resources from the GEM portfolio to ensure the seamless operation of this distinct business unit. The team size could reach 15-20 employees.

Success in this role demands strong relationship-building skills, engaging with distributor partners at the C-suite and ownership levels. The ideal candidate must balance strategic influence with both soft and firm negotiation skills.

What You'll Do:

RTM Strategy Development & Execution:

  • Lead the development and execution of our RTM strategy for selected spirits brands in the 'Targeted Elevate' and 'Execute' segments.

  • Refresh under-prioritized brands to maximize their potential.

  • Manage senior-level relationships across the new distribution network, conducting regular business reviews.

  • Grow the PRUSA RTD business through dedicated team management and strategic development.

Revenue Growth & Market Expansion:

  • Manage a portfolio contributing 30% to PRUSA's NNS, aiming for significant growth through focused distributor engagement.

Distributor & Channel Relationships:

  • Developing and executing the RTM strategy to expand the reach and elevate the status of the GEM portfolio.

  • Collaborate with distributor network to ensure brand performance and adherence to contractual principles.

Retailer Engagement & Chain Execution:

  • Improve execution of 'Targeted Elevate' and 'Execute' brands at the chain level by building stronger retailer relationships.

  • Increase PRUSA's scale with retailers through a broader portfolio and enhanced category partnerships.

  • Develop new execution methods with distributors, embracing their technologies, POS needs, promotional programming, and incentives.

Team Leadership, Coaching, and Development:

  • Create talent rotation opportunities and career development for PRUSA team members, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

  • Equip the team with tools and training to effectively execute the RTM strategy.

  • Promote inclusivity, accountability, and high performance across the team.

  • Set consistent performance standards and use management dashboards to drive decisions and monitor progress.

  • Increase performance impact through clear, strategically aligned objectives and key results (OKRs).

  • Contribute effectively to the Commercial Leadership Team with strong communication skills and a positive mindset.

Required Qualifications:

Industry-Specific Knowledge:

  • 15+ years in the spirits or alcohol industry.

  • Deep understanding of distribution networks, RTM strategies, and brand portfolio management in the U.S. beverage alcohol market.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • 8+ years in senior leadership roles (e.g., VP or GM) with experience managing a P&L at scale.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing growth strategies for underperforming brands or categories.

  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Distributor & Retailer Relations:

  • Ability to build and maintain high-impact relationships with major distributors (e.g., SGWS, RNDC, Breakthru Beverage) and national retailers.

  • Experience in influencing distributor engagement and managing complex portfolios.

Market Expansion & Revenue Growth:

  • Proven success in expanding markets and driving revenue growth.

Team Leadership:

  • Experience leading high-performance teams, focusing on talent development, rotational opportunities, and fostering a culture of accountability and inclusivity.

  • Expertise in setting and managing strategically aligned objectives and key results.
