Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Sales Analytics & Contract Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's Sales operations through effective data analysis, reporting and contract review. By analyzing trends in overall sales and key contract relationships, the Sales Analytics & Contract Specialist will provide data-driven insights for improvement in Sales performance and assist in implementing new policies and procedures to enhance the organization. This position also ensures the accuracy and completeness of contractual information in the Company's CRM and CIS systems, and will be integral in overseeing proper contract administration and pricing tiers within the Company's systems.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Performs analysis on sales performance as related to stated goals and objectives, statewide and by Business Units. Provides monthly/quarterly/annual standardized reporting as well as ongoing ad hoc reporting on sales trends and contract performance.
  • Reviews statewide customer pricing status to ensure consistency between customer classification and actual consumption. Maintains pricing data and provides input for the pricing of products and services sold by the Company. Facilitates the periodic adjustment of customer pricing within the CIS system.
  • This role will be a "super-user" of both the CRM and CIS systems and assist with the configuration and ongoing maintenance of the systems in order to support the sales function.
  • Develops, coordinates and maintains statewide contract administration system, including monthly reports on contract status. Develops, implements and maintains a centralized contract management database.
  • Takes the lead in the process management of sales agreements to be sure they are properly logged, executed, filed and the contract data is processed (transferred, input, edited, etc.) such that the overall data has a high level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Performs necessary internal company audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinates all necessary reviews of contracts with the Legal Department.
  • Develops and implements guidelines and policies to facilitate the contract administration process and to ensure consistency in the Company's contracts and documentation.
  • Performs as the Company contact person for sales contract issues. Resolves customer issues internally associated with this activity consistent with policy, procedures and/or processes and in coordination with the Legal Department and appropriate sales personnel. Consults with the appropriate executive on complex issues or sensitive matters.

OTHER FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This role acts as a periodic back up for the billing rate specialist and will need to assist with standard billing rate review from time to time.
  • Complies with all applicable corporate and Hawaii Gas policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other related duties as instructed by supervisor/manager.
  • Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition; performs housekeeping duties as required.
  • Complies with all safety rules and cooperates in the fullest in the promotion of safety and safe work habits, to include the reporting of any unsafe conditions or acts. Maintains all EH&S training on a current basis.


Qualifications

Required Education and/or Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience in the gas industry that demonstrates know-how in this field.
  • Ability to adapt and use multiple systems (i.e. SalesForce, CIS, CarGas, etc.); previous experience with CRMs or ERPs is highly beneficial
  • Good working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and County regulations and Company policies and procedures impacting this activity.
  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:

  • Experience in federal government contract management highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of competitor activity in Hawaii.
  • Excellent knowledge and familiarity with each island's local culture, business environment and politics.

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:

  • A valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in Hawaii.
  • Access to an insured vehicle with current registration.
