THE ROLE
The Senior Strategist - Corporate Brand is the driving force behind our brand strategy, guiding our branding efforts across all platforms and touchpoints and ensuring a cohesive and powerful brand identity that resonates with our target audiences. As the primary curator and guardian of the firm's brand and key messaging, this person will lead the development and execution of innovative brand and messaging initiatives. Balancing data-driven and creative thinking, the Senior Strategist - Corporate Brand serves as both a strategist who can build differentiated marketing strategies/tactics and an exceptional writer and storyteller who can turn the complex into simple and memorable narrative that create lasting impressions in the market.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Leveraging expertise in Brand, plays a lead role in assessing, providing input towards, evolving and defining the firm's brand strategy and competitive positioning, in partnership with Sr. Director of Corporate Brand and Communications.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies to support our business objectives, increase brand awareness, and enhance brand equity.

  • Lead and participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of the brand strategy with marketing campaigns, product development, and customer experience.

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for brand growth.

  • Create compelling brand narratives and messaging frameworks that effectively communicate our brand identity to key audiences.

  • Oversee the creation and execution of brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all communications and platforms; establish and lead brand governance activities.

  • Monitor and report on brand performance metrics, providing insights and strategic recommendations to optimize our branding efforts.

  • Help to secure and plan brand-building events, in partnership with Events team and other colleagues.

  • Write and maintain 'About MFS' corporate content for various platforms such as mfs.com, corporate PowerPoint slides, RFP records, and boilerplate copy.

  • Develop and spearhead brand education and ambassador programs across the firm to improve brand consistency and alignment and leverage employees as brand champions.

  • Oversee a comprehensive corporate partnerships/advocacy strategy that helps to maximize the brand value of MFS' strategic industry partnerships.

  • Build a deep understanding of the industry landscape (including key competitors, industry associations, thought leaders, influencers, events/conferences, media) and help determine key places for the brand to show up.

  • Actively maintain a solid understanding of industry trends, brand-related best practices and client knowledge, including their needs and perceptions of MFS.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 8-12+ years of experience in brand management or related role in Marketing or Communications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

  • Exceptional understanding of brand strategy and positioning * Highly skilled in analyzing competitive analysis and market research.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Passion for learning and staying on top of brand, marketing and communications trends and best practices.

  • Strong ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

  • Extensive experience working with senior leaders and SMEs.
