Description

Markon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our Intelligence Community client from Springfield, VA.



Responsibilities

The ideal Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks:

    Guide Mid-level and Junior-level system engineers performing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies

  • Lead planning and analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectural traceability, procedures, and system enhancements; review cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling limitations

  • Support Hyperspectral Imagery systems engineering efforts and requirements engineering
  • Direct the development of solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies

  • Assist the Government in translating mission and customer requirements into systems/capability requirements and solutions

  • Support analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and active programs

  • Perform systems integration activities across complex architectures

  • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments

  • Assist the Government in strategic technical planning, risk management, performance engineering, project management, and interface design

  • Operate at a systems integration level across multiple programs, services, and agencies in support of Major Systems Acquisitions



Qualifications

Required:

  • An Active TS/SCI with a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph is required (Preferably from this client)
    • A TS/SCI with the willingness to sit for a CI poly may be considered, provided the following requirements are also met
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, IT, MIS) or equivalent experience

  • Senior-level (12+ years of related experience) or higher experience in government or industry in relevant work areas, including DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, and/or systems engineering of complex System of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments in cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures

  • Experience with Hyperspectral Imagery (HSI) is required with this team
  • Experience with and understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle

Desired:

  • Master's degree in systems engineering or a related STEM field

  • Experience with STK tools
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages

  • Working knowledge of Digital Engineering practices and tools

  • Working knowledge of modern Software Development Frameworks

  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification

  • Documented experience in the field of geospatial intelligence

  • Professional engineering licensure

  • Membership or leadership in organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF

  • Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields

  • Knowledge of current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises

  • Prior work experience on NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs or projects



Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
