Associated Bank is seeking a high-caliber, experienced tax professional to join our team as a Tax Manager. This is a unique opportunity to step into a well-structured, evolving tax departmentthat is executing a strategic shift-enhancing efficiency, modernizing workpapers, leveraging Workday integration, and optimizing tax compliance processes. The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing income tax provision and compliance functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with ASC740 and federal and state tax laws. This role plays a key part in quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, managing the outsourced tax compliance process, and identifying opportunities for process improvement within the tax department. The Tax Manager will also provide technical guidance on state and local tax matters, support tax planning initiatives, and collaborate closely with finance and accounting teams on strategic tax considerations, including M&A and business transactions. Additionally, this role will be instrumental in integrating Workday into tax workflows, mentoring junior team members, and supporting audits by serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.
