Job Summary

To safely operate the bag line, robot and wrapper to bag product.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operator safely sets up the bag line, robot and wrapper to bag, stack and wrap finished products.
  • The operator is responsible for properly setting up the machine to ensure quality bags are filled, inspected, wrapped and ready for final shipment to customers.
  • The operator is also responsible to fill out a quality inspection sheet, identify and correct any quality issues as they arise.
  • Operator will tally and record final pallet and bag count numbers and turn this data sheet in to the Production Managers inbox.
  • Adheres to company safety policies and OSHA standards.

    Maintains a safe, neat, orderly accident free work environment.
  • Maintaining clean working areas.
  • Report any issues and help to resolve / understand root cause.
  • Ensures all bags are filled, stacked and wrapped to the highest quality standards. Records and submits a daily quality checksheet.
  • Reports all maintenance issues immediately to the Shift Supervisor and safely helps with minor repairs to the bag line, robot and wrapper.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education:Requires a level of knowledge normally gained with a high school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience:1 year experience

  • Must be able to work for long periods under a wide range of ambient conditions.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Show a commitment to teamwork, being results oriented.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact with co-workers, contractors and suppliers on a professional level.
  • Mechanical adaptability.

Physical Requirements

Up to 50 pounds weight lifting/force exertion required
