The Company's Total Rewards package is at or above industry levels. The expected base salary range for this position is between 91,760.00 USD - 120,435.00 USD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives. ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Associate Manager, Category and Shopper Insights you will leverage your expertise on Target...a strategic partner for us. Your role will involve delivering insight-driven, fact-based strategies to drive growth for the category, customer, and organization. By utilizing shopper insights, product knowledge, and merchandising strategies, you will shape actionable plans for this key partner.

You will serve as the primary insights expert for these categories, collaborating closely with internal teams-including Sales, Brand, and Customer Marketing-as well as external partners to influence marketplace decisions. Additionally, you will share customer insights across the organization to foster learning and enable strategy application for other customers. You will do all of this in a fun, values-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and plan category leadership solutions that deliver profitable sales growth for Lifestyle Brand (LSB) in the mass and club channels. These solutions should include shopper and category insights across: products/ assortment (everyday/ new products/ promoted/ seasonal), placement and everyday shelving and merchandising, pricing (everyday, seasonal, and promotional), promotions and seasonal merchandising

  • Leverage LSB Category & Shopper Leadership toolbox such as Nielsen Data, Customer-specific POS & Panel, Numerator + other internal/external tools (TCN, Target, will be of particular focus).

  • Where appropriate, manage and deliver against the responsibilities of the Category Captaincy/Advisory process in partnership with the customer

  • Identify specific research opportunities (shopper, consumer, etc.) to bring new learning to category leadership solutions

    • Assist with HQ lead research projects when appropriate, to provide context that will improve the applicability of results in the mass / club channel.

  • Leverage insights and resources through the utilization of a broad range of data sources, market research findings, tools, analyses, and technology to continually bring new shopper ideas to customer and company; incorporate in all category solutions for assigned major customer(s)

  • Create / Maintain any customer specific topline reporting / KPI tracking (reporting that is supplemental to HQ generated reporting)

  • Be a voice for TARGET in catman team strategy creation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience in category management with at least 2+ years experience leveraging data / insights with Target at a syndicate at a major syndicated data provider or established consumer packaged goods company

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Strong analytical skills. Solid experience in analyzing syndicated reports or using trade management tools (IRI, NielsenIQ, Numerator etc)

  • Stamina, character, sense of humor, detail-oriented tactician with proactive approach and work ethic appropriate for a fast-paced, team-oriented, growth company

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight timeframes and deadlines

  • Ability to independently assess data, integrate into selling stories and leverage it to grow our business

  • High degree of curiosity on consumer/retail behaviors + insights

  • Excellent presentation skills and a colorful storyteller presenting to customers

  • Team player eager to support others & build group culture

  • Strong technical skills in Excel & Powerpoint

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full Time, regular business hours, Monday-Friday

  • Home-office (remote) position (MN based)

  • Travel ~15% to be dictated by customer team need
