AP/AR Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized AP/AR Clerk to join our client's accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume invoice processing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Process a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders (POs) and verify pricing and quantity.
  • Code invoices appropriately and enter them into the ERP system.
  • Ensure timely approval and payment of vendor invoices.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Post cash collections and apply payments to customer accounts.
  • Review and approve credit applications and orders based on company policies.
  • Monitor customer accounts for overdue balances and follow up on past-due invoices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and communications.
  • Generate and distribute AR aging reports as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Experience:1+ yearof experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
  • Education: High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
