Job Description Summary

The Sr Site reliability Engineer(Senior SRE) will assist with ongoing maintenance and support of a hosted application platform, assist with and/or lead projects related to the support of the application environment, and interface with internal and external customers to troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues. The SRE is also responsible to assist in new project build outs, support of development and QA departments as they interface with hosted application models, and other application administration tasks.

Work experience/Roles and responsibilities

  • Follow strict change control policies to adhere to organizational and client requirements.
  • Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot problem reports for internal and external end-users
  • Manage critical incidents and problems with appropriate urgency
  • Participate in out-of-hours maintenance window as needed to support a highly available application
  • Communicate effectively with Design Engineering, Client Support, Management, and Software Development groups
  • Document policies and procedures as they are defined and changed
  • Application setup and administration.
  • Being accountable for resolving the outage via workaround or permanent fix
  • Ensuring all administration and reports are maintained and up to date, including contacts information, technical diagrams, post major incident reviews.
  • Work closely with Problem Management to identify recurring or high-impacting incidents that requires further analysis and long-term solutions.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support within a team rotation.

Required Skills

  • Min 8-10 years experience on Application support.
  • Minimum 4+ years of working knowledge on Azure Cloud infrastructure services
  • Prior experience building and managing Infrastructure as code (Iac) using Terraform
  • Linux/windows systems administration
  • Prior experience in Application support and incident recovery must.
  • Infrastructure and Application Monitoring & Alerting using Datadog tools
  • Familiarity with Relational Databases, proficient in SQL and query tools
  • Python / PowerShell scripting
  • Using and maintaining CICD pipelines in Gitlab
  • ITIL certification a plus

Good to have Skills

  • Kubernetes experience
  • Support and Administration of Java or .net applications
  • Programming (Java, C# or .NET)

Educational qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
