Project Management is critical for Printpack's success now and in the future. The Project Management Office (PMO) at Printpack is an enterprise level PMO with a strategic focus on delivering business value by providing leadership and direction. The PMO is dedicated to providing robust governance and standardized organizational methodology for planning, executing, staffing, prioritizing, and learning from our diverse project portfolio. This approach ensures that we maximize our return on investments, optimize customer relations, minimize business disruptions, and drive positive change throughout the company.

The Business Project Manager has responsibility for the successful execution and delivery of projects that are critical to the company's growth and operational excellence in the US and Mexico. He or she works with cross-functional leaders and associates to plan and integrate project deliverables, manage constraints and change, retain project learnings, and ensure seamless transfer from project phase to operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: CONSULTATION AND SUPPORT
  • Provide guidance and advice to business partners leading projects without direct management support.
  • Self-starter that collaborates with PMO leadership and peers throughout the project process.

ORGANIZATIONAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT DELIVERY

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects effectively following the Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and our company culture.
  • Coordinate with business and corporate resources to develop solid business cases, obtain funding approvals, and utilize financial systems to track spending.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional resources to plan, integrate, and prioritize project deliverables.
  • Develop robust project framework, approved scope statement, document management plan, ongoing meeting requirements, and roles and responsibilities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks to avoid business disruptions.
  • Establish key performance measures, reports, and communicate relevant information to key stakeholders to ensure the project stays on schedule, within budget and meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Facilitate change requests and make sure all parties are informed of the project and business impacts.
  • Proactively identify potential problems, prepare mitigation plans, and respond to problems with potential solutions.

STAKEHOLDER INTERACTION

  • Communicate project framework, scope, plans, and responsibilities to project team and stakeholders.
  • Liaise between project core team members, cross-functional teams, other stakeholders, and business partners to deliver the scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings to align plans, goals, and tasks and to resolve competing constraints and conflicts.
  • Obtain internal and sometimes external customer acceptance of project deliverables.
  • Conduct post project evaluation and document lessons learned.
  • Manage customer/stakeholder satisfaction within the project transition period.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

  • Lead, influence, and hold cross-functional, technical, and non-technical Subject Matter Experts accountable.
  • Ask the difficult questions and listen to all possible solutions.
  • Manage expectations from all key stakeholders and sponsors.
